FATHERFORD, Thats a sick truck. I agree about the tires, you definately got the right stance. How does it handle compared to stock. Being that low can you still use sway bars. Have you looked into new shocks like Bilsteins. Sorry for all the ?s.
Thanks for popping in and for the info, I appreciate it.

Thanks.

Handles much better compared to stock, so much better. You can still use the front swaybar, although I took mine off to help with weight distribution. Only new shocks I got in the rear was some cheapo toxic shocks I picked up for $50 shipped.

I love to drive the truck so much more now that its lowered. To me it's so much more fun to drive. If you don't go offroading in your truck I would highly recomend anyone to do it.

What comes with that kit.(lower control arms, coils, shackles, hangers, or flip kit) I am deffinately looking into it.

I went to your gallery and noticed you had a burnout pic, did your truck come with a Ltd slip rear-end. Mine didnt, my first mod will be an Auburn Locking Diff. from SteedaTruck.com. I cant stand that "one wheel peel". I think it will help during the winter to.

Thanks again

Yes my 5.4L came with the 3.55 LS rear end. I now have 4.11's installed though.

Thats cool, I wish mine came with a Ltd Slip, searching now not sure which one I will go with. I am leaning more towards FRPP just for warranty sake.

Any more lowered reg cabs out there.

I would just try and find a factory LS and slide in some 4.11 gears while your at it.

FatherFord,
How was aligning that bad boy. Did you have any issues with it or did it go pretty smooth.

Thanks

FATHERFORDs is one of the best i have seen.

My friend just ordered the eibach kit for his 04 reg cab, we havent installed it yet though.

I still havent decided if i want to lower mine or not, i rarely haul things, but sometimes i do, and id have to get helper bags in the rear to compensate for it. until i can afford the bags and lowering kit, i probably wont do it, just step up to bilsteins and some better sway bars

My '05 Regular Cab has been dropped 2" in the rear (Ground Force) and shod with 22" rims & tires.

From rear angle:

My truck is a screw... ub tI got the Groundfoce 9933 kit and I am NOT even remotely close to happy with it. the ride quality is HORRIBLE. The backend bottoms out over EVERYTHING...slamming and jarring hard. Add a few passengers and it is almost undrivable.

I am about to take the damn kit off and just do the 2 inch rear shackles.

Anyone know of anything I can add to a read flip kit with shackles to improve ride quality and keep it from bottoming out? The only thing I can think of is a simple firestone air bag kit for a few hundred bucks.

This is a friend of mines. It is a 04. He used the same kit I did, the
McGaughey's 2"/4" drop. He then took it to a shop and had them lower
it some more, Iam really not sure what they did to it, dropped it another
1-1/2" all the way around.
Those are 20" rims, not sure on the tire size. He's not a member on here
yet (still working on that).

I had a shop do the install...

I actually did Bilstein performance strutbars/shocks as well in the front, and used the Groundforce provided shocks for the rear. The bump stops were trimmed quite a bit.

I don't think he changed anything on the shock mount points...supposed to? Would that help?

I actually called ground force and they said that I shoudnt have trimmed the bump stops because they are supposed to be an active part of the suspension and get softer over time. The guy who installed it said he doesnt think riding on the bump stops is a good idea...but i dont know who to trust.

Through a wholesaler that got my entire kit and wheels/tires. He said they were damn near impossible to track down. He said I got the only set left in the country...they were in some wharehouse on the east coast. If you want I can see about having him order you a set...
