Built Ford Tough!

A few days ago, I was coming home from having dinner and klobbered a deer at about 40-45 mph.

Made me sick to my stomach the rest of the way back home.

Got home expecting to see horrible damage.. wrong!

The lower billet grill piece was hanging on my imagination, but still there.

Bumper *looked* ok and nothing seemed to be wrong. At all.

Today, while waxing I did notice the damage. Where the bumper wrapps about and contours the front edge of the vehicle, the bumper was bent in about 1/2"... Somthing only I notice.

Basically, Built Ford Tough isn't just a slogan!

a friend and his chevy avalanche hit a deer head on at 70... the deer was looking at the headlights...no full side impact.... 9k in damage...basically like hitting a telephone pole. love having that steel front end framing to keep our trucks stable... told em 'shoulda bought a real truck...' glad your 150 came out on top there!

Yes. Drove back by next day and its laying in the ditch.

I guess I just hit it broadside. Deer must have crouched down right before impact.

Ima try to bend the bumper back out later on... attach a hand winch or come-along to the bumper and the wall and try to bend it back out.

Phyically, I think I hit the deer broadside, down entire length of body, excluding head.

I actually hit the deer on Hwy 41.. right before you get to Hanson...
