Mine (05, Scab, 5.4, Auto, 2wd) was built January 05, I bought it in June 05 and it was reflashed in July 05. Should it have the latest reflash in it? How can you tell what it has and what is the latest? Do they have serial numbers or something similar.

look at your pcm and note your 'catchword' - 4 letters or 3 letters and 1 number. It's on a white tag on the pcm, mine is also built on 01/05 and it is TEM7. Then follow the steps at this link below for the latest flash code. Your existing one should be on your receipt from the reflash. I got my 5.4 reflashed in July as well dealer never put a sticker under my hood. It is also on your truck's Oasis report. I had requested a copy after my service trip.

Where exactly is the PCM on these trucks?
I've got an '04, 5.4 XL

 

Flat metal box on the firewall on passenger side. Should have about 3 plugs into it. Believe mine is by Motorolla.
