Beige or Black Leather

In YOUR opinion, which is better. I know about the heat issues with black, and don't care (I know someone is going to repeat this anyways). I am looking more for opinions on whether or not you are satisfied with your interior whether it be tan or black. I was reading this thread and I am now a bit apprehensive towards choosing black. I love the look of the black interior but if it's really not worth it, I will not get it. I passed up so many opportunities to get the tan interior with the options I wanted, it was never worth it to me. However, after reading that thread I am having second thoughts on whether or not I should get the black. Main question: Assuming you currently have one of these colors in your F150, are you satisfied with it or would you change it in a heartbeat. I'm looking for those kind of answers, thanks.

Black rocks. Tan always looks grimey after a few years.

Black shows dust, and the lower part of my door skins have some scuffs I can't seem to get rid of, but those are my only complaints. Wipe down the dash with a dry Microfiber occasionaly, and it looks great.

I had black interior in my 04 and loved it. All you need is a swiffer cloth and about 2 minutes and it looks brand new. I refused to buy the tan because every truck on the lot had marks on the seats, but that was in 04 and they were lighter then.

A lot also depends on what exterior color you will have. Ignoring heat/dirt, some colors look better with the tan or gray, while others look better with black. I have the true blue FX4, and if it wasn't for the amount of gray in the interior, I don't think I would have bought it. On looks alone. I prefer a gray or tan with the blue. Bright red looks good with any of these colors, but the dark red looks better with tan.

It would be going with a black ext F-150, and possibly a white. Both neutral colors so it doesn't really make a difference, they both look decent, it's just an accent'ed color. I prefer the look of the black but am wondering how people like their leather. I am worried my blue jeans would bleed ink over time on the tan seats among other things (stain appearance, etc).

I'm VERY happy with my TAN leather. It doesn't get dirty like people think it would. And mine is even the lighter tan they had on the 2004's (it's darker on '05/'06). It looks great and has held up extremely well. I rarely ever clean it. It just doesn't need it often. When it was new, it seemed to pick up more from my jeans and so on...but not now. I really like the look.

This is a fairly recent photo...and the driver's seat still looks the same right now, after 37,000 miles But by all means, get whatever you're happy with.

IMO if the truck is black then black is the ONLY way to go, the tan on black just clashes. White with black looks good too but you could pull off tan and white. My black interior looks AWSOME. When I bought my truck the only two musts I had (besides it being a Lariat of course) where solid black exterior and black interior, and it was actually pretty hard to find one.

I`ve had both and black looks great when new but the tan will look a lot better in 4 or 5 years down the road.

I am still looking for an '04 Lariat Screw or Scab 4x4 w/Sunroof Black Int. & Ext. My dillemma lies within the options though, I have been looking for about 4-5 months for this truck and have maybe found about 3-4 total that matched what I wanted. I did not get them due to price caused by low miles. I am looking for one with roughly high miles so I can keep it in the realms of $22k. My offer is cash, paid in full. I made a post offering an easy $100 dollar bill to whoever finds this truck. I must purchase it of course, I'll try to talk them down but if I can't I won't purchase it. I feel like an expert on F-150 pricing, I don't ever need to check the bluebook or Nada values anymore, I know it practically by heart. I am just looking for a really good deal, and if there comes one, I will find it. I have been looking on Craiglist, Ebay and Cars.com everyday for this entire time. I am also looking for a 99-03 black ext 4x4 F250 7.3L for around $19k with leather, but no real luck. I am really coming around to get an F250 due to gas prices and mileage. I will lift either vehicle, whichever I get. I am absolutely in love with the F150's interior but if I find an F250 first, that F150 is going to have to wait until I'm older and can better afford one. My insurance is outrageous, just look at my gallery and you'll see why. And that, folks, is the end to my life story.

Go for the Tan. I've had tad leather in my last two trucks and love it. My last truck was a black FX4 and the tan looked nice. I don't care for the heat of the black in the summers.

Forget the tan and black. Go with the castano leather.

My tan has held up really well. I wear blue jeans all the time and it will show blue on the edge of the seat but it cleans up easy.

Black on Black

I live in HOT West Texas, and keep the windows cracked when I need to. Get a deep tint and you'll be happy. The only issue that I forsee is the wearing of the driver side seat bolster. The wear will show on any color. Anyone else having this issue yet?
