A couple of questions...

1) Do the XLT's have a low fuel light? I know the Lariats have the message center that tells you when the fuel is low, but I don't know about the XLT. I don't see a light on the dash, and the owners manual leads me to believe that it says something in the odometer, but I have yet to see it. The needle gets to E and I get scared and have to fill up.

2) The reverse lights. Has anyone replaced the bulbs with anything brighter? I'm going to tint my windows and I know it will be nearly impossible to see at night. Just wondering if there is some way to increase the output without bolting on some ugly lights to the bumper.

Thanks guys!

yes xlt has warning light; pretty sure all cars nowadays have that feature. IT lights up and rings in your message center in bottom right. As far as lights go i dunno

Thats what the owners manual said, but I wasn't sure because the XLT doesn't really have the "message center" like the lariat. Guess I just haven't let the gas get that low yet.

#2 I would like to know about as well if anyone can help us. Since I smoked out my tails, it cut back on my reverse light brightness. I did look into some aftermarket bulbs once but they seemed to be the same wattage as stock reverse bulbs.

Im boarding ship as well, I've been trying to find this out for a while with no luck. I really hate the look of adding an extra set of lights on the rear, such as near the hitch.

The odometer doubles as a message center as well. I say message center because that is where my low fuel warning is displayed.

The XLT low fuel will display in the odometer when it get's low. Then you got about 50 miles to go till really empty.
