Definitely KEEP the black interior. I have not noticed it being hard to keep clean and I'm in Phoenix and it hasn't given me any burns. I think the color combo you chose is great. I originally ordered aspen green/beige with black interior but change to dark toreador red at the last minute. I don't regret my choice but that green looks great too.

Thanks for all the replys. My dealer is a pretty large dealer, but they did not have any Smokestone or Aspen Green trucks in stock, nor any with the black leather except for FX4's which I know has a different leather than the Lariats do.

I actually stopped by 2 other different dealers to see the solid Smokestone, (and it had tan interior), and the other dealer had an XLT that was Aspen Green over Beige, (which of course had the cloth tan interior and no wheel mouldings).

I still cannot get myself to order the tan interior so that is definately going to be black. I am leaning more towards the Smokestone, even though that Aspen Green does look good and it was my first choice.

I will let you guys know what I decide on Monday, as I do not want to let it go any longer than that.

Thanks.

The Aspen Green was my first choice also. I saw a Dark Stone colored truck at a dealership one night and wasn't to impressed but I stopped by the next day and now I own an 05 in Dark Stone (proper name for this color). I love it, it doesn't show that much dirt. Mine has the Arizona Biege rocker panels. You have to get the two-tone, otherwise it is just to much of one color to look good. Mine has the tan cloth seats but I love them. They don't show as much dirt as my last vehicle that had a gray interior. I just couldn't imagine having a black interior. My .02

I have the Dark Stone w/tan leather. Love the color and the tan leather looks good with it. Black leather would look fine with it, think the tan looks better though. Good luck with your new truck.

Smokestone is a new color for '06 F-150s guys.

Best I can tell it's pretty much the same as the Gold Ash on my '05 Escape.

I am not sure what the Gold Ash looks like, but the solid Smokestone I saw at the one dealer just happened to be sitting next to an XLT that was Arizona Beige.

The Smokestone was definately lighter, and since it wasn't two-tone, I was glad to be able to compare since I wasn't sure if there would be a noticeable difference to pay extra for the Smokestone/AZ. Beige combo.

My Gold Ash Escape:

The online Ford site pics don't look anything near what the actual colors are. There was another post on here last week about a member with a new Smokestone truck with pics. Best I can tell from the pics of his, it's pretty close to mine.

The Gold Ash is really light, looks almost silver depending on the lighting.

I'm partial to the Aspen Green

I think the black interior would look awesome with the green

I assume you are referring to "Deltascrew's" last post. Go to the upper right corner of his post and click on the camera. That will take you to his gallery.

Deltascrew - You had me fooled for a minute there with those pics. I was trying to figure out how you got black interior on a KR. lol Then I see you have an 04 Lariat too. Great pics in your gallery!

Thanks for everything guys. I ended up calling my dealer this morning and changed the color to Smokestone.

So it will be Smokestone over Arizona Beige with Black Captains Chairs, Moonroof, Power Slider, CD6, 3.73 Limited Slip, Trailer Tow, Reverse Sensors and 4" Stainless Tubular Boards.
