Tire and Lift QUESTION "2004 FX4 SuperCab"

I have 2004 F-150 SuperCab FX4. I have the stock 255/70/17 tires, not to mention the front end of the truck is lower than the back, again stock. I want to put either 285's or 305's on it. My main concern is, will they scrub on the front without putting the leveling kit on? And if I do need a leveling kit, what is the best bang for the buck.

I have 305 55 20s on mine with 20 x 8.5 wheels wioth 6.32 backspacing (i.e. they are well tucked in close to teh insidel ike I wanted.) I have ony a very slight rub, with or without my raised coilover, at full turn to the right. It is a non-issue for me, and if you get wheels with 5.5 of backspacing and want them to stick out past the fenders like half the guys, I doubt they would rub at all.

I had 285/17 BFG AT's on my 05 FX4 before I put on the skyjacker 3" lift. These, as it is now, on the factory 17" wheels. I have the pics in my gallery of the way it was stock. No rubbing what so ever, even with Husky molded mudflaps.
A friend of mine have the exact truck of yours and he put 285/17 BFG muds on. He would have had some troubles w/ the husky flaps, so he put a 2.5 leveling kit it.
