CA 670 install

I plan on installing my CA670 either this weekend or next. For anyone who has installed their own unit, do you have any tips or anything to watch out for. I have seached through the forum and have got a lot of good info but more info I have the better. I got the pre-wired system from autoalarmpro.com.

One question to start things off, where is a good place to mount the pats module? Maybe zip tied to something under the dash?

I will also be adding a window module that will roll the front windows up and down. If anyone has installed one of these your input would be much appreciated.

Mount the brain next to the BCM/VSM, the PATS module in the cubby hole next to the IC, youll see it when you take the IC trim off.

What is the IC? Is the BCM/VSM located next to the battery?

IC = Intrument Cluster, not to get confused with IP (Instrument Panel) which is technically your whole dash.

VSM = Vehicle Security Module
BCM = Body Control Module

This in your case is located behind your rear seat and will have every wire you need access to except remote start wiring.

Does the instrument cluster have to be removed?

I have an Audiovox remote start, and my 2-way remote's range is about 1400'.
