Are Ceramic pads the way to go? or not?
Hey man, I have never heard of porterfields, but I can say this: NAPA has the nationwide peace of mind warrenty, If you don't like it, bring it back (with the better line of stuff). most of anything you get in the preimum line (although sometimes more $$ than others) is equivelent or better than what came on the car. I don't know how many times I have opened a box, and a part had FORD on it, or another OEM. I am sold on NAPA parts for the rest of my life, that or OE is the way many respectiable shops will go.
Again, my 2 cents!

I just bought ceramics front and back - Morse (Friction Master) at Advanced Auto Parts. I'll report back on the dust and performance.
I also picked up some drilled and slotted OEM-size rotors from eBay. It was an awesome deal on the rotors and they even zinc them for you.
The only drawback to this company on eBay is they take a long time to ship. I believe they take the OEM-size Brembo rotors and, with their own machining equipment, slot and drill the rotors themselves. I got them a few days ago and they look great. Will report back on this too.

Anyone else with Morse ceramics unhappy with them? I put some on 700 miles ago and lately I'm noticing they throw as much dust as the oem pads. The first 300-400 miles on them was great, very little dust. Haven't had a chance to wash my truck for 2 weeks now and the front wheels are disgustingly black just like oem pads would do.
