Was cruising a cpl websites to see if I could find some cheap door handle buckets and came across this tailgate latch with remote for the LT. It's on sale for 14.95. Would probably have to run a power wire to the latch but would be kinda neat.

That looks pretty cool. I wonder how to activate it? Would a 4 button remote from a car would work, useing the trunk button to unlock the tailgate.

 

umm, remote control in a ford parts listing just means that it has a cable or rod that operates it. not as in electric actuator.

 

Looks like the tailgate mechanism, no remote capability. They may call it a remote because it is remote from the actual latches on the sides of the tailgate. Call them and find out what the deal is.

Yep, Myst is correct. I checked the p/n for the LT and F150, they are the same, just a different description.
