I like to add a couple of things. Exhaust for one. Not sure what to go with yet. I run Borla on my mustang. But its 3 inch exhaust all the way back. So I would think, they would be two totally different sounds.
Has anyone just added a muffler to their stock exhaust???
How does it sound? if you have?

Thanks again

I added a flowmaster 40 series (muffler only) on mine. Sounds great at idle and when you accelerate.
The only problem is it does have a drone sound in the cab when holding 40-50 mph speeds.

Whats not the same about the sensors. They look to be in the same spot as mine.

BTW smokestoneF150, Sharp truck. I have the borla exhaust on my truck and really like it. No cab drone. Just a good clean sound like it should be.

Thanks RED LARIAT

What kind of Borla's do you have? Is it just the muffler or is it a complete exhaust?

the reverse sensors have not moved. Its just that most people do not notice the 2 that are in the plastic part, and are only used to seeing the 2 that are out wide on the bumper. They have always had all 4 in the same spots.

This is what he is talking about....look VERY closely at that last pic and just to the left of the hitch, there is something. Between the hitch and the big trailer connector.....what the heck is that thing? Looks like a reverse camera or another reverse sensor............

OH! And welcome to the board!

Your links are not working for me, but that color from Brewdude's post looks just like my '05 Gold Ash Escape. Really light metallic gold/beige.

I notice on the Ford website that Gold Ash is not an option on the F150 but this "new" Smokestone is.

Kind of odd that they would offer 3 different shades of gold, if Gold Ash and Smokestone are actually different.

I have a Gold Ash Metallic '05 Escape as well -- now if you tell me your F-150 is Medium Wedgewood Blue, then THATS starting to get a little bit creepy!
