I have yellow one's on mine, the kit came with 6 neons and cost $225 + 180 for install [as it takes hours !]. They are not illegal to drive with them on unless u get blue or red which are illegal [since they represent the cop sirens] they look awesome at night and really attract attention, probably best mod i put on my truck [ so far ]

I had blue neon lights way up under my white lariat back in 98 so all you could see was just the blue glow.

The truck had a factory blue/purple lariat pin stripe and it matched well. I also had hidden blue neon behind the grill on it so the grill was glowing blue.

I have considered adding red neon behind the grill in the 04 as well.

I don't care what people think. I know when I had the 98 in gatlinburg, tennessee one weekend I had like 10 people run in the street to get a picture of it around dark.

If you like them you should get them. If you don't, then don't.

However, as far as whether they are legal or not, I am a PA licensed Safety Inpector and I can tell you flat out, the lights are illegal. You can probably get somewone to inspect the truck with them on it, but will have to find someone. A lot of people will not pass them.

Godd luck, and remember, It is what you like that matters.

I had a set on my island blue sport trac. They are turquoise in color and I thought they looked good. It was a different color other than the typical blue you see everywhere.

I still have this set and I'm contemplating installing these under the bedrails in the truck. I'll hook up a switch so I can have some light under the tonneau cover at night. Might as well put 'em to use, they are just collecting dust now.
