I got my Rancho 9000XXX coilovers for $103 each + shipping at O'Reiley. They had to order them. It cost me $289 at the dealership to install them and realign the front end. I set the height at about the middle of the range myself and got with 1.5 " of lift. Came out exactly like I wanted it to. Haven't had time to post pics yet.

I'd like to see some pics of the coilovers themselves if you can.

I'm not sure how to post pics in the thread but you can see what they look like in my gallery link under my profile. The adjustment sleeve and spacer are pretty visible.

CarlJ,

What does 30mm offset equal to? I know I want about 4.5" backspacing when I get wheels (I think) so that it will stick out further. I'm afraid if I get any less backspacing than 4.5 when I run 33's that it won't stick out very much at all. Yours looks good, if it were my setup I'd probably run a little bit fatter tire if possible, so you can get an idea of what I like and want.

Nope. I tried it for myself even though Rancho told me you couldn't. The coil spring just puts too much force on the spacer to allow it to move. It's pretty easy to get just the amount of lift you want though. Just measure both sides exactly the same with a ruler from the top of the spring seat to the bottom of the sleeve.

I believe he is at 5.5 backspacing. Backspacing - 1/2 of wheel width = offset. You can convert mm to inches by dividing by 25.4

this sounds like a perfect choice for somebody that wants to run 33 x 12.5 tires on after market rims and not use the skyjacker lift or the auto spring.

good info

Mlawdawg is right. It's about 5.7" of backspacing.

I have seen them in the Rancho catalog. If you go online you can download it and find them there. I have not seen them listed on any of the major websites. I had my 4x4 guy call his ditributor for them. You keep the factory coil and these go inside with an adjustable collar. Works great.

here is the ordering info from rancho tech e-mail

"I do offer a new series shock that has an adjustable spring seat called the
RS9000 Triple X. Its designed for the new body style Ford F150's not the
2004 Heritage body style. The part number is RS99768."

do you guys think the same a-arm rubbing problem will occur with this adjustable coil-over that happens with the autospring?

oaw
