Exhaust Tip QUestion

Hey guys,
I have a question. I have a Flowmaster 40 series with stock pipes on my xlt 5.4. I love the sound but was interested in finishing it off with a chrome tip. What will be the differnce if any in sound. Will the length also make a difference. The one thing I dont want to happen is lose any volume or rumble. Would actually like to add both if it is possible out of a tip.

Please help.

Greg

I dont see how adding a chrome or stainless tip would change the sound of your exhaust. Just dont get a tip with a resonator in it.

A tip isn't going to make a huge change, but I believe it will muffle it a little.

A huge change? I doubt that.

Dont expect any change in the tip. they are mostly for looks. However, if you have a 3 foot long tip, sometips they tend to smooth out the sound a bit, but not really enough to make a lot of difference. They llok nice and thats about it. I say take the money and buy a K&N.

The tip is worth it for looks alone to me.
