Question For those of you with bull bars

I really want to get one and I have been looking lately. But all the ones I have seen require the removal of the factory tow hooks, which I assume the bar uses those holes for mounting. I'm also considering just a light bar.
My question is...
Are there any that don't require that you remove your tow hooks?
And if I have to remove the tow hooks is the bar strong enough to attach a tow rope to if the need arises?

And finally, what kind of bull bars/light bars would you reccomend?

All the bars I've seen use the exisiting tow hook bolts to mount the bull bar/grillgaurd and then the factory tow hooks are mounted under the the mount for the GG. So basically the tow hooks and grill gaurd use the same mounts and work together.

Correct but you could have them welded on your frame, thats what I had done.

I see...
All the sites I looked at just said you had to remove the tow hooks. They said nothing about putting them back on.

I really like the way this one looks. But I've never seen one like it before? Has anybody seen or heard anything about these?

What do you think of this one?

Sooo....
Can I attach the tow hooks along with the bull bar or not? I've got 2 different answers here.
If anybody knows if it can be done, can they please tell me which bar I can do this with?
And if it can't be done can I use the bar as an attachment for tow straps if needed?

No bull bar is going to let you keep them in the stock location and no you CANNOT use the bull bar to attach tow straps. I mean you could but say good bye to your bull bar! I had mine welded onto the frame.

The bull bar uses the spots the tow hooks are hooked to lol.
You have to choose bull bar or tow hooks.

Some bull bars, by there design might not allow you to reuse your factory tow hooks. Just look around until you find one that allows you to reuse the tow hooks. Mine reuses the factory towhooks in almost exactly the factory location. They are mounted about 3/8" lower than factory due to being mounted under the brackets that hold the gaurd. I welded my gaurd and brackets together and used the supplied bolts just to be sure it would never come loose, I just didn't want to weld it to my frame in case I ever wanted to remove it easily. I wouldn't use a bull bar to attach a tow strap due to the thin gauge tubing they are made of and the fact you would be putting a lot of leverage on the the thing. The factory tow hooks allow you to pull in line with their line of greatest strength. while with the bull bar you will be attaching the tow strap to the bar and leveraging it down and foreward when you tug with it. check the manufacturers web site to get your info. Some will work with factory hooks and others may not, unless you tell use exactly what brand you plan on using we can't give you a 100% accurate answer.
