I have an extra visor laying around from when I ordered a new homelink visor from my dealer. If someone wants it so that they can try to take it apart and put the homelink inside, they are more than welcome to it. It has been sitting in the box in my laundry room for about 2 months.

The visor DOES come apart

The fabric is just pressed into the edge. You can pull the fabric out, and press it in with a screen roller. I had to fix my expy once before it burnt.

For anyone interested in the sunvisor, it matches the tan interior. It comes from a 2005 Lariat, so it has the lighted mirror which has a power hookup builtin to the visor. It just needs power run through the pillar.

I don't know why Ford didn't keep homelink as a factory option except for maybe they thought people would pay for it as an option. Too bad that there are not enough of them ordered as an option from the dealer. I use this much more than my heated seats or power adjustable pedals.
