tire sizes

Does anyone know the largest size tire that will fit on stock 18" Lariat wheels on a 2004 SuperCrew? I tried a search and couldn't find the answer. Also, does anyone know what the width of the wheel is?

Thanks in advance,
mikebaby

The width is 7.5". When you say 'fit', do you mean as in what the tire manufacturers recommend or do you mean anything that will fit? I've seen people put 325/65-18 on those rims and they're suppose to be mounted on at least a 9" wide wheel. So I guess it's up to you.

im running 325/60R18's (33" x 12.5" x 18") on mine works great, looks better! my toyo MT's are rated for an 8-8.5" rim minimum. so yes, technically im over-width, but it is small enough a difference that they should still run correctly- pics in the gallery=sig

I want to raise my truck a couple of inches and put on bigger tires, but I do not have the cash for wheels too. So what I want to do is something like a 3" lift kit, and new tires when my existing tires are shot (probably this spring), so I'm not looking for the widest tire in the world necessarily, but something taller, and a little wider.

Thanks,
mikebaby

A 35x12.50-18 would be a better fit.

they've got a bit of a hum when your up to speed- compared to other muds on my friends trucks, they are super quiet, & the ride is real smooth. when the windows are up, and the radio is off, you can hear them slightly, if the radio's on, you cant hear them
