By the way, are you going to put the blue oval back on? or black oval? or red oval?

I recently installed the exact same grill. It looks awesome. I didnt re-use the Black oval that I had on the stock FX4 grill. The only complaint i have is that you can see through it a little to easily. And the radiator gets bugs all over it.. and it is hard to clean without bending the fins... Im thinking about adding some kind of screen behind it to keep out the bugs and make it a little harder to see through.

PS you should also consider the lower grill insert that matches. It really pulls the look together. and it installes in about 1/100th of the time it takes to install the upper grill.

I also have the same grill...and the same complaint although im planning on fabricating a small light bar to go in front of the grill so it won't be a problem seeing though it much longer.

Black 2004 FX4.... You really need to get some Black headlights... It makes the grill look alot better. Ill put some pictures up here eventually. But, it looks awesome!

I actually had a hell of a time getting the bottom grille in. I had to get my wife to do it because my hands were to big to get in behind it.

As for the "see through" problem...I hated that too. So what I did is take some black screen door wire mess and put it in front of the radiator. This not only blacked out all the stuff you see behind the grille it also protects the radiator (well AC condensor) from bugs and debris.
