Horn, please turn off

My '04 horn likes to go off by itself in the middle of the night. It is a constant 100% on sound, not pulsing.

Now this morning, when I hit the unlock on the remote, the horn kept going. the only way to turn it off is to actually press the horn button on the wheel. It should've only given a slight chirp of the horn.

I know the horn and siren pulse when I hit the red button or when the alarm goes off, its not this.
It has the gold remote alarm installed too if this can affect it.

Any ideas?

I would guess the horn switch in the steering wheel is either sticking or shorting out or something like that. just a guess though. good luck

Horn relay or the relay in the PATS system may be going bad. I would see if that can be swapped for troubleshooting.

I can explain how to disable the horn with pictures but that probably wouldn't be much help as you may actually make use of it, as I only use it to scare people Can't wait to get the amtrak train horns.

Thanks guys, I'm taking it in to get looked at. I'll never get an alarm installed at a dealership ever agin though. If this is connected with the alarm, this will have been the 14th or 15th time its been in because of it.

In Kent,WA, they only have drop off vans at 8am and 9am, and they don't pick you up from work. Never heard of this kind of strange service before. A pain.

Have you ever heard the early to mid 80s big cadillac horns?
When I was a little kid my parents had a 82 sedan deville ''new at the time'' and one night the horn shorted out and my bedroom was right over the garage. Talk about crapping my pants.
