I actually mounted my chest toolbox with a piece of angle iron and stainless steel hardware (bolts, flat washers, lock washers, wingnuts, etc.) near the back wall of the bed. By removing two wingnuts inside the box, I can easily yank the whole thing out of my bed. I haven't needed to do it yet, but I like knowing that I can if and when.

jperea has a smaller sized toolbox which would leave you more bed room without removal ... just don't know if the room would be enough for your Harley, etc. See https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=179524 .

Another potential "takes up less room than normal" option ... Challenger toolbox from Cabela's:

I think that Tuffy makes what you are looking for bofer. Check them out, most places that carry Tuffy products can order anything from them...

Times like this sure would make having Honda Ridgeline's "In-Bed Trunk" quite handy!
http://automobiles.honda.com/models/...Name=Ridgeline

http://automobiles.honda.com/images/...y/large_17.jpg
"The In-Bed Trunk™ is made out of the same high-strength composite material as the bed and features two molded-in bag hooks, as well as guides that allow for the installation of dividers."

http://automobiles.honda.com/images/...y/large_18.jpg
"A drain plug helps remove accumulated water and lets the In-Bed Trunk™ double as a cooler for tailgating. It is also large enough to house a 72-quart stadium cooler." Talk about a handy ice chest while tailgating, camping, and/or on the beach!!!

http://automobiles.honda.com/images/...y/large_19.jpg
"The In-Bed Trunk™ features 8.5 cu. ft. of secure, lockable storage and can easily accommodate three sets of golf clubs or a wide variety of other cargo."

http://automobiles.honda.com/images/...y/large_20.jpg
"The compact spare tire is securely housed in the forward part of the In-Bed Trunk™, and is easily accessed via a sliding tray."

http://automobiles.honda.com/images/...y/large_21.jpg
"The In-Bed Trunk™ can fit a full-size tire in the same space as the compact spare. Tires can also be bolted to an alternate storage location on the bed wall, when hauling large loads and trunk storage is inaccessible."

I also like how the tailgate can fold down OR swung open like a door! This is just some very nice engineering design work.
