...but this one is mostly for the wife, with all the recent grizzly attacks lately where we like to go camping, she just wasn't cool with the tent any more. Ahhh the sacrifices I make.
I have seen grizzly bears tear up some expensive trailers....once they smell the food.....But on a side note, how dose the short box 6.5 handel when Towing? My next step is a 28 FT or less fith wheel...But I have a reg cab 8 ft box...GF don't like sleeping under the stars any more...

The wheels are American Racing Matrix 20's w' 285/55 BGF All terrain.
Does it really sit at such an extreme angle, or is it a bad pic? That looks like a really out of balance combination that will cause potential problems. Little things like trailer sway, corneing, braking, etc. Also, how you could you sleep in it with such a tilt?
Maybe I'm way off on my perception, but I've towed a lot of miles and if it sits like this, I might be concerned.
Cheers

I think the pic does exagerate it a bit, but it does sit lower than the truck. This was the first time hooked up. I am planning on flipping the axles which the dealer says will give 4" of lift. They do it all the time for the higher trucks.

Seriously... you should definatly flip your axles. That is too much angle.
Didn't you consider getting a sliding 5ver hitch? I've heard lots of stories of back windows being blown out. I've had to turn mine to a 90 a few times in tight campgrounds.
On a sadder note I won't be in this forum much longer, have too much trailer for my truck. This truck wasn't ment to do it.....it will do it, but it doesn't like it.
I'm getting a diesel 3/4 this week....might even be a Cummins. :o
Everyone on this forum who told me my trailer was too big for a 150 was right.

Klassic - how much does that monster tick in at? Kilos or lbs... whatever.

Hitch weight 1300 loaded
It is a light trailer for a 30 footer but, add the 300# 5th wheel in the bed ....full tank of gas, 4 people gear in the back of truck... I get to the trucks GCWR (15000#) really fast.
It drives pretty good, but it is screaming on the hills, I will be looking at tranny repairs and motor repairs before it's time......and the big mass of inertia is hard to stop in an emergency. And don't get me started on it's gas intake.

My 21.5' 5th wheel has the axles reversed and it sits alot leveler but still at a bit of an angle. Watch the back window when you are backing up, if you go to far it will cost you $1036.29. (Don't ask how I know that but you can guess
