4.10 Gears In

Just got it done over the weekend.

When I left the guys house, I drove back home at a constant speed and never gunned it any.. I live about 45 mins away from his shop.
Drove around town some to run some errands all before re-tuning it with the 1714. Speedo was WAY off before I re-tuned it.

Later that afternoon, I re-tuned it and took it back out.. Drove soo much nicer. Feels so much.. tighter on takeoff then the stock gears. I dont know if tighter is the right word... Firmer, more solid.

So I went to my mothers house to fix her mower, way out in the country.
I came to a dead stop and punched it...

Tires squealed for about 15 feet and it took off, hit second and let out a SEXY chirp.. This is the way it should have came from the factory.

Throttle responce is alot better. RPMS are not much higher. I think it was 2000 RPM at 65. Ever so slight gear whine.. I really have to listen for it to hear it.

congrats keep us posted on how it dose. it looks like in your gallery you have a supercharger. seems like it would lay rubber for more than 10 feet with a supercharger and 4:10's. don't get me wrong I am not trying to knock the 4.10's you got I think it is pretty cool. I think when finally do my gears I might just go with 4.56. I wish someone made a 4.30ish gear set for my truck I would definitely go for that. anyhow congrats and keep us up dated on how those gears work for you. what brand did you go with? what size tires are you running?

30.5" tire.. Im gonna keep these tires through the winter, then get some better, wider, and smaller diameter tires.

I kinda thought you might not have that supercharger on your truck and only laying down 10 feet of rubber. sounds like you got a good gear ratio for what you plan on running. I plan on sticking with 33's or maybe someday going with 35's. so I am thinking either 4.30ish which don't exist as far as I know so I probably will go with the 4.56. oh and as much as I hate to lower a truck if you are going with such a small diameter tire you might think of lowering your truck too. I think small tire diemeter looks funny on vehicle not lowered. just my opinion.
