Automatic is the 4R75W in '04+ F150s. Diesel Super Duties with the 6.0 liter and all Super Duties from '05+ use the Torqueshift 5R110 which is based off the 5R55 family which itself was originally based off the A4LD family. I'm not sure what manual trans the '05+ F150 uses.

Thanks, I got the sticks and superdutys covered. Wasn't sure if the 4R70w was still being used.

Did the 4R75(e or w?) replace the 4R70w? Do the 5.4s use the 4R100 still?

Oh and Quintin, the torqueshift is a whole new tranny not based off the light dutys.

Both trannys are the W, but the E just means its electronically controlled.

4.2L - M5OD & 4R70E
4.6L - 4R70E
5.4L - 4R75E

I've seen them all apart, plus or minus a clutch pack or two and some electronics, they're all based off the A4LD. The clutches are stacked a little differently plus or minus a few in to get a 5th gear in the 5R55 transmissions.
