Pedal Question

I had some issues with Katrina on the 29th. and had to purchase two new vehicles. The family pricing plan is going off Oct. 3 and I felt that I had to make a move....that and I have been without wheels over two weeks. The Insurance company came through and my wife and I bought a 2005 Lariat Supercrew and a 2005 Lariat Supercab this afternoon. The only option the supercab is missing (that I wanted) is power adjustable pedals. I asked the sales guy about it and he said it was far to expensive. Hmmm, I would really like to have them, does anyone know if they can be added to the vehicle and if so any idea of the cost for that upgrade. Thanks in advance for any info.

Here is a link to our smashed F-150's.

I don't know about the cost to add the power pedals but those pics hurt man.

Glad to hear you got some new rides back though.

Wow what a way to get a new F150! As far as the pedals, IMO its a worthless option. I have them and never do adjust them for anyone who drives it.. a waste of money but it came on the truck that way..

I have them because thought they were a great idea and were on the truck I wanted. However, I found that I never move them and wasted my money. My car has memory seats and mirrors and it is much nicer.

I have the adjustable pedals because they came standard on the '04s. I adjusted them once and haven't touched them since. I'm sure I could do without and i'd say it's not worth the expense to add them.

I agree with the above comments. My truck also came with this option, but I never use it. Not worth the extra expense in my opinion--unless you have really short or really long legs.

My pedals have been moved once in two years. My girlfriend is much shorter than me. However I have to agree that it is a option not worth having when you consider the expense to install them. As far as the exact cost ??

Sure, I moved mine one time all the way to the floor and never mess with them, but the thing you have to think of is, even if you move em once, if you didn't have it and couldn't move them to that perfect spot, would you be uncomfortable and wish you could move them? Just a thought. And that is definitelly some damage.........

Thanks

Matt, that is exactly where I am. On my 2003, I had adjustables and moved them to the bottom. I have long legs but have to sit close to the wheel to avoid an acking back. When I get close enough to the wheel, my legs are just a little uncomfortable on the pedals. If I could get one maybe two inches it would make a heckuva difference. I just need to get them to the bottom. Thanks to all for your input and replies.

I have power adjust pedals...I'm 6ft 4, my truck is a reg cab and the pedals don't go back far enough for me...My girl friend is 5ft 7 and she needs the pedals up close...also a word of warning....if your not careful the floor mats can get caught up on the pedal causing the gas pedal to be pushd to the floor...Not good and not worth playing stunt driver, Mt GF thought I was showing off accelerating at high speed in reverse....

I have put my foot on the brake and hit the power adjust button to bring the pedal closer....making the truck stop.

Hope everyone is alright. As far as the pedals go I had to have them to. Adjusted them during my test drive and never touch them again. Probably money better spent else where.

An option I ordered on our Expedition and thought it was so neat. I am 6'2", wife is 5'4". Set it when I first drove it and it has never been moved. So, I never considered it when I bought my truck.
