Oh yeah and I forgot my navigational headunit was only $1700!

Plus I don't see too many people watching movies with their maps.

Oh right, I forgot about that benefit while you're driving. Let me know when you're going on a trip and I'll be sure to stay home that day. I guess it would be alright if you went on a camping trip or something. Plus you'd have your NAV system to help you out of the bush. "Turn right at the large boulder..................."

well, the Eclipse system is pretty cool if you have an SCrew - you can install one or two monitors for the backseat people. They can watch a DVD while you've got the navi running in the front. It can handle two discs at a time which is very nice. That is an AWESOME feature. Pointless for me in my SCab, but in my brand new 2009 SCrew that hasn't even been designed yet, that's gonna be the first thing done.

The multi-hundred dollar "map updates" kinda turned me off though. I can get an entire updated DeLorme map on CD for my laptop for 50 bucks.

The downside (for me being a computer geek) is that Fujitsu makes Eclipse - if Eclipse is anything like Fujitsu computer parts, then the likelihood that you'll be shipping the system to Japan every other week for massive repairs is pretty high.

Wait, did I actually say that I watched movies while driving? Nope, so don't assume that I do. Just so you can get it to set the way you came in so when you need to turn around you can follow your trail in so yeah it can help you out in the "bush" but I've never had to use that yet. I don't tell you how to spend your money on your truck so don't tell me how to spend money on my truck, grow up seriously.

I think those are the prices "bigyellowtruck1" paid for his stereo stuff...just add a couple $500 Pyramid 10s and a couple $2500 Kraco amps and you have a $12K system!
