IMOP it's not worth the hassel to laod a sport bike. Many bottom out as the frot wheel enters the truck if the ramp doens'n t have the right arc to it. You really need to use a ramp with an arc, not a straight set (they only really work for dirtbikes). I used to pack my Katana 750 into the truck, not fun. I refuse to load my ZX9. Not worth the risk without the proper ramps. I use my tilt bed snowmobile trailer instead.

U-Haul rents bike trailers if you want the easiest way and don't have a good set of ramps.

I too use my tilt snowmobile trailer for hauling my Harley. When I had a CBR, it wasn't too difficult to load a bike in the back of the truck, but the Harley weighs a lot more and don't want to risk it.

My son and i will be loading his crf 250 and my xr 250 in my truck this weekend, no ramps so will pull the truck to the bottom of our driveway and muscle them in.

After reading all these post on loading bikes my head is swimming ...
Having the right gear makes life EASY !!! This ramp has 4° angles on each little arm making loading both dirt bikes and road bikes a breeze. I HAVE NEVER come close to hitting the bottom of the fairing on the Road bike because the ramp has the built in angles. I know it looks easy with my truck being lowered like this BUT I had the same ramp with my old 4x4 Dodge and loaded dirt bikes AND my R6 road bike about a (100) times ALL by myself and never had a problem. With my truck lowered, I can ride the dirt bike right into the bed of the truck and never feel like I'm going to fall or crash. Hope these pictures help someone make life a little easier !!! It really is pretty easy when you have the right gear.
