The bumper looks like my old '03 Expy.... anybody wanna take any bets???

 

just drove by a dealership that had a few o6's. I have to say that I like the square fogs better. BTW, did anyone notice that the 06 explorers now have square fog lights, they look like a smaller version of the 04-05 fogs. Also the interiors are now miniatures of the f-150. I think ford went in the right direction with the expy and the wrong with the f-150.

 

I have been test drivin at dealers all over for the last few years no problem. Just be calm, ask a few questions, say you are interested in this this and this, and ask to go for a drive. Half the time I was just thrown keys and a dealer plate (they photocopy your licence though so don't get ideas). Otherwise a dude would ride with me, but thats not a big deal. Then after your done, say your goin home to think about it, and ask for a card. I usually go for pics and see which trucks I like when the dealer is closed. Sundays are great for that, and then go the next day informed.

I think that's my plan for today, good idea, particularly the "going home to think about it". After a year of this I'll be a Social Engineer. I'm going back to this dealership locally where some black lady denied me a ride saying, "Well, are you sure you're gonna get it, we don't like to put a lot of miles on our trucks." Word for word, I was floored.

 

14-18 mpg my ****. Going downhill with the wind!

 

From those pics the 06 looks not much differnt than the 04 and 05 just the minor year style changes. It sure looks good Maybe i'll get one next summer as I been planing on getting one after I done with all my schooling at ITT-Tech

 

i THINK the XLT w/ chrome apperance package gets a new gauge face as well
