Taking things into my own hands...

The steering nibble is getting worse as I drive it. Im fed up with this, the dealer does not know how to fix it nor do any dealers around here. So what do you guys think about just buying the Ranchos for $310 and see if it fixes it. I mean if it doesn't fix it than oh well, I take them off and I could sell them to someone on here for almost what I paid for them. If it fixes it than its more than worth it, and when I go ahead to buy my lift I'll know that its going to be fixed with those shocks and I'll be able to sell them for almost what I paid. I'd just go ahead and get the lift but what if it comes back, than Im really screwed. So what do you guys think?

Its only one item but why do you think that? If they don't work than Im going to be selling them in at most a few days of use on them.

Don't suppose you'd be willing to bring it 7 hours away to Columbus, Georgia, would you?

Look at it this way. You buy them for $310 dollars and use them for 3 days and decide to sell. You want say $275.

I would easily pay an additional $35 to deal with a vendor that I can return items to, exchange, warranty, etc. You'd have to drop alot to entice most people and then you've lost a good bit of money for a test.

Here's what I think, a new set of shocks will not cure the problem you describe. Your truck has some other issue. You most likely have a steering linkage problem.

I'm inclined to think it's something in the rack and pinion itself. I find it kinda strange that no other dealer has replaced the rack (have they?).

I know this issue has been around for a while...but can somebody explain to me exactly what a "steering nibble" is?

They messed around with it once but they never replaced it.

Im just fed up with this and I've come to the conclusion that the dealers around here have no clue what they're doing. Im SICK and tired of having to bring my truck back and forth to the dealer for something that shouldn't be happening and if it did, it should be fixed accordingly. Im tired of playing GD games..

Have them replace the rack, I had a nibble at 60-70 mph, no questions asked they replaced the rack and nibble was gone.

Hey Quintin, I was looking in your Gallery and realized we have more in common than just both being in south GA.

This is my Bushmaster AR-15, its got a heavy stainless barrel like yours:

I am thinking of going with a A3 stainless 24in fluted varmint barrel upper on it though.

And this is my Benneli MI Super 90...mine has the pistol grip stock, ghost rings and extended tube on it though:

Thump..fill out the BBB paperwork and send it in NOW!!!!! this problem is bull***** and I cant believe nobody can fix it yet. Mine is the same thing. 110 days in the shop since february....YES,, 110 DAYS!!!! and still not fixed. Nor is the rear end shudder or the clunk when I take off from a stop, or what I've noticed now is that if I turn and hit the brakes to slow down a little, then hit the gas coming out of the turn it clunks and bangs pretty hard. Im sick of it, Im tired of it going to the dealer and getting bashed up every time it goes in. Last time they put a nice big dent in my pass. side door. SICK SICK SICK of it all. My paperwork was filed over a week ago and now im just waiting for someone to call me. Personally, I wouldnt waste the money on the shocks right now. Just file the paperwork, ask for a replacement and get an 06 model.
