driveshaft angle
driveshaft angle
Truck is in shop for a Shutter at takeoff, at first they thought it was the clutch packs, now they are saying its deffinatly the driveshaft angle, apparently its off? What the heck, how does this happen?
Anybody know anything about this sorta stuff or are they just BS to get an answer for me?

There's a TSB floating around for a shim kit to adjust pinion angle via shimming the center support bearing bracket on trucks with two piece driveshafts and/or shimming the leaf springs.
my truck is just fixed in the shop, going to get it tomorrow. Guy told me that they could not fix the shudder in the rear at take off because ford basically does not have a fix for it right now. He said they've tried shimming, clutch packs, etc, and that none of that has worked so they just don't have a fix for it and they didn't do anything for that problem. Now that I read this, maybe that's fine w/ me because I don't want somebody trying to make something up to fix the truck if they don't know if it will work.
