New 2006 F-150 Pics

There are tons of threads of people asking about what the 06 actually looks like. Well I happened to run across a couple of pics. I believe these are the pics they will use in the new 06 brochure, I found them after extensive digging at ford's media site. If you signup for an account you can get these pictures with a very high resolution, but I scaled them down and cropped them for easier posting. So here they are. The blue one and the beige one have the factory 20's with pirelli scorpion 275/55/20's and the black one is a lariat with the chrome package with the chromed 18's.

I will have to see one in person to decide how much I like the new bumper styling. I do not like it in some of the pics I have seen of them sitting on the lot, but in those pictures, it looks great. That first truck looks sweet. From what I can tell, I really like the round foglights on the painted bumper, but it is only OK on the chrome.

Question

is that the 6.5' bed on that screw in the third pic? i didn't think an ATV could fit in the 5.5' box with the tail gate up.

Good eye, that is the 6.5' bed. I dont think it looks uniform after seeing the 5.5' on a Screw. I wouldnt have one with the longer bed myself.

Pseudo-LT-looking handles, you mean. They are still the ugly flat black base with a chrome pull.

I am not incredibly familiar with the tires Ford has used on various models of the F-150, but I have never noticed Pirelli tires on a stock truck. I assume this is only for the 20s?

You must not be basing your comments on the pictures in this post...

In this thread about the 06 F150 a few months ago, Ford's own documents state that it is this way. There aren't painted buckets on those handles. It's the same as the 04/05, only with a chrome pull. They should be putting painted buckets/chrome pulls on these trucks IMO.

My dad has a 2004 F250 Super Duty that came stock with Pirelli's. They are Pirelli Scorpins and its the only truck I have ever seen with them on it. The dealer was even suprised when it arrived that it had them on it. Here is a pic!

I seen quite a few f250s with them when I was looking at the king ranch model back in 2003.

it's ford.media.com's website. Here is the link. It should bring up a search page and just search all or put in "F-150" in the box if you don't want to see media pics for all their new cars.
