I prefer my current fog's, but would not be unhappy with the round.
I do like the '06 front bumper better though.

BigTRQ, have you actually seen these to verify that?

If you had read the entire thread, and seen my post (post #12), I included a link to the thread on this forum that speaks about the upcoming 2006 F150, handles included. From the Ford Ordering guide it states that the bucket is black and the pull is chrome. Someone else chimed in that the bucket is the same flat black as our 2004/2005 trucks are.

I did, and I also read the 06 ordering guide. It does state that they are black bucket with chrome handles. However, it does not state whether they are painted or not. Hence, me asking if you have actually seen them. I guess you really don't know whether they are painted or not.

So you've got a pic of the wheels in the chrome package, so what do the buckets look like? If you think about it, the buckets won't be painted black, because on all other colors than black, the difference in painted colors would like quite bad, hence the flat color same as the previous two years.

A few other observations from the pic of the Screw with the 6.5' bed:

1. Download the high res pic from the link in the thread above and zoom in on the handles. There appears to be sunlight reflecting off of the handles as if they are painted. Compare it to the flat black on the mirror.

2. The B-pillars are gloss black like the '04's, not flat black like the '05's.

3. The grille center is black, not beige.

First post, by the way.

I found this on fords site. new towing mirors for 06? My order guide does not list these.

Has anyone heard of this option?

I looked at the high res pic of the Lariat Chrome package. There is something odd about it. While the buckets are painted, the bigger question comes as to why there is a keypad with lock on the passenger side. If I had to guess, I bet they sourced the parts from the Lincoln Mark LT and stuck them onto this model as the real parts are not ready.

I might have to eat my words later, but I really think the Lariat Chrome package will NOT come with color-matched handle buckets. I'd LOVE to eat these words, as I will be ordering them up in Aspen Green for my 04 XLT.

And to anyone who posted before me, if I came off as defensive, I didn't mean to be. I am just relaying what I heard from other people here and elsewhere.

I got a pamplet with my monthly statement a few months ago showing the mirrors and it stated they could be ordered from the parts dept. of a ford dealer as a ford accessory.

I think thats just a lack of photoshop detail. I remember when I ordered my eddie bauer X back in 96. I would look at the brochure everyday and it had a picture in it with the keyless pad on the passenger side too.

I still don't like the rounded foglights.

BigTRQ, the keypad is on the passenger side because the body side is reversed. They must have reversed the negative because the gas door is also shown on the passenger side. It is strange that the steering wheel appears to be in the right spot.

Weren't the chrome 18" lariat wheels an option on the 05? I believe I saw that on the brochure when I was at the dealership back around March or so.
