I believe all Snuglid models have a locking mechanism of some kind installed. The model I have is the entry level version with a carpet upgrade and it came with locks that are mounted on each rear corner. A small bracket is installed on each bedrail (one on each side at the rear) that allows the locking mechanism to secure the lid to the bed. The SL model has a rotary locking mechanism that behaves more like a car's trunk would. When you close it, it locks without having to turn the lock again. It also has a single center mounted lock rather than 1 one each side. That model also has an optional keyless entry feature that can be installed. Of course upgrades like this cost more $

The lid can be removed somewhat easily by unlocking it, and pulling out the pins installed on the hinges and hydraulic shocks. Probably better left as a 2 man operation though since the lid is more awkward than heavy.

Nice. Best looking hard top I've seen by far. Very low profile, very nice.

Thanks. We actually got some rain today so I was able to see how well the weatherseal was on the lid. So far so good, the bed was still dry after a short but hard rain.
