i'm sure the actual snorkle is pretty restrictive in it's own right, but the airbox is where i put my money as the most restrictive. pull out your airfilter and look up there some time.

Every little change on the inlet track for these motors effects your A/F's in a significant manner. When I was down at Troyer about a year ago on their dyno, the "base" tune they loaded before starting was made for a stock intake. With just my Airaid Jr (stock airbox, drop-in filter and larger inlet pipe), it was enough of a change to make it run 14:1 at WOT, compared to the ~12.5:1 it would have been with the factory inlet pipe.
