Fighting with myself over whether or not to get vent visors!
I have the AVS Vent Visor in channel. I think they're the best ones I've had. On my 98 and 01 F150s I had Draw-Tites. They were nice but only just slid in the channel. The AVS actually has a plastic clip that holds the visor in so much better. Go ahead and get them. You won't be didappointed. They'll look sweet on black!
It is your truck, but I think they are ugly. I am sure there are some that look decent, I just do not like them too much. Now if you are going soley for the functionality, then they are great. They will help keep your truck cool when parked in the sun and keep you dry when you want a little ventilation while it is raining. Of course, most of the people I see with ventshades on their vehicle are smokers, so that is what I associate them with. Not that I am trying to preach, but there is not much I find attractive about anything I relate to smoking.

I do have to add that I had the ARE in channel visors on my dodge, and the only reason that I had them was so I could smoke when it was raining outside. Since then I have quit smoking, and no visors on the 150. I still think they look great, but the only time I ever used them was when I was smoking.
ChrisAdams -
Where did you get the rear visor, ARE sent me info saying they no longer make one? Have you noticed any issues with wind buffeting - I had one on a Chevy that was so loud, couldn't drive with window open.

From the invoice;
Auto Ventshade Sunflector Rear Window Defl $35.14
2004-2005 F150 All (New Body Style)
They had good prices on three or four things that I wanted, cheaper than e-bay. Decent shipping, good product. I would recommend them.
Slight wind noises from my inchannel visors, when the wind is hitting from the rear quarter, nothing to complain about. Never noticed anything from the rear one. It's under the curve of the roof, kind of a dead spot for wind. I have driven at 45 with the rear sliding window and one side window open, never noticed anything wrong.
I don't run the freeways with windows open, so I don't know if it would be a problem. On the regular cab, both windows open, and the slider open, and the wind will shove you out the slider at 65-75, so I don't open them at speed.
