Is it a good idea to put different speakers in the back doors from the front doors?
I am getting a new head unit and new speakers for my 04 Screw. Here is what I am thinking of getting;
Pioneer DEH-P4700MP HU
Pioneer TS-A6870R - 6"x8" 3-way Speakers
Should I get 3 ways in the front and back doors or mix it up?

wow...this could be debated for ever. You may want to ask over in the stereo threads. But were here so heres my input. In my SCAB, I have OZ Audio seperates in the front doors, a 5.25" (I think) midrange and a 1' dome tweeter in the top of the door. Then, in the back doors I have my Alpine component speakers, whatever size they are that fits back there. Again, a midrange with a tweeter mounted dight in the center of the speaker on a mount so I can swivel them to point them in the right direction. IMO..I think its fine to mix up your speakers. Whatever you like the sound of, go for it. I think I have some pics in my gallery if you wanted to take a look.

silver-gt-vert, if your not going to enter a sound-off or anything like that, and you just want better quality sound to listen to, then the pioneer speakers or any kind of 3way speakers will do. I had pioneer speakers and a deck in my last two cars, and I plan on doing the same with my truck. And it doesn't matter if the front speakers are different from the back, and in my opinion I would get 3ways for both front/back, if the price is right I would get 4ways.
