Air Bag Light

Wierd thing happened yesterday. Driving down the 710 freeway in CA. I hit a little hump in the road and my airbag light comes on, starts blinking then stays lit. Not 2 min later my girlfriend (who was following me) calls to tell me her airbag light just came on. (04 mazda 6). What are the odds that both cars would have the light come on at exactly the same bump in the road. Restarted both cars and havent had a problem since. Just wierd. Any ideas what would do that?

There was probably a radiation source in the area, that would help explain why everything was fine when you restarted the truck. There's a corner of Luke AFB in AZ where my air bag light comes on a lot, it does the flashy thing for a couple minutes then comes on solid. As soon as I shut it down and restart, it's good and the CPU doesn't hold the code. I'm not the only one, I know of several others who get a light at the same spot.
