Question XCal 2 Wait

What is the longest those of you with the X Cal 2 had to wait? I ordered mine on 08/10/05 and I check my e-mail everyday for shipping conformation, nothing as of yet. This wait is killing me. Did everyone else wait a mounth for thiers or did I just happen to order at the wrong time? It wouldn't be so hard but I keep coming in here and reading how happy everyone is with the job Troyer does on these tunes. It's like I'm 10 years old again and its a week before Christmas. :santa:

You ordered at a busy time, with the Xcal buy back thing going on so a lot of orders going in. In addition the wait begins not from when you order it but from when you RETURN the forms to them.
Until the forms are in their possession you are not in line to get tuned.

I ordered my Xcal 2 upgrade as soon as the program began, approx Aug 15.
I thought it would be a quick turn around, but Crystal explained that the program has to be completely redone for the Xcal 2 and the previous program from the Xacal 1 can not be simply loaded into the new unit. Still, cant wait,
the stock program is terrible.

This is why I would NEVER order from Troyer. I couldn't stand to wait over a month for something that should take a week, tops!

I posted this in the the other forum, but I'll do it here also.

I may be off base here, and somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but is Troyer getting anything out of this themselves? My feeling is that everybody sent their Xcal1 in for the upgrade and paid the difference for the Xcal2 box, and to use the new box, Troyer has to redo the tunes so they will work with the new box. Isn't Troyer doing this at no charge?

Some would gripe that their lottery check came a day late.... you can't satisfy everyone all of the time...

Thus far though, it's looking like Troyer is in the high 90th percentile.

Did ya ever stop to think that maybe the reason it's taking so long for Troyer to get 'em out is because he has way more customers than the tuner that can get it to you in a week?

If anyone isnt familiar with RWTD they do custom tunes for diablo products; ford and gm. Last time i worked with them their turn around time was approx. one week compared to troyers 1 mo and they have LOTS of customers as well.

When i started this thread it wasn't meant to bash Troyer. Personally I dont care how long it takes because I know it will be done right when it gets here. I just wanted to get an idea if others were waiting along with me. Besides the wait is goung to just make it that much sweeter when it does arive. As far as other shops, there is a place about 2 miles away in Santee California, The Dyno Shop that is listed on the SCT web site as a distributor of the XCal 2. I've called them twice in the last mounth just to get an idea of what they will charge they tell me they have to look into it and call me back. They have never called me back. Troyer is way ahead of them IMO.

If you were more interested you would of stoped by their shop rather than call them, they think your worthless because dyno shops get TONS of calls and only a few ever do actually dyno tune. You cant call something worthless if you showed no effort.

Mine took well over a month because of their amount of orders and Mike went on vacation (well deserved imo). I think it was along the lines of 6 weeks but its worth it.

Then I think they should tell you that instead of saying we will call you right back. Using your train of thought maybe they should just get rid of there phone. H*ll maybe I should drive to Toyer from California to see what is taking them so long. No need to call them. Sorry but your comment really makes no sense thats what the phone is for.
