2005 6-Disk Audiophile - Pause between CD tracks??

OK ... I have the 6-Disk MP3 "Audiophile" Headunit.....

When playing regular store-bought CD's that have continuous tracks (meaning the song/tune continues from one track to the next), the CD will insert a "pause" or "dead spot" & it's starting to be a PITA!!!!

Do I have a bum unit or does everyone else's also do this??

My last 2000 model Ford CD player didn't do this!

Mine does that. I've thought the samething, it also starts the cd over sometimes if I go to the radio then back again.

I have the same setup, buy have never tried a store bought cd. I always play burned MP3 songs. There is never a pause between these songs, even during the shuffle.

Now ... I'm talking if there is music during and through the track change (like the music didn't stop but the track changed to the next).

... you guys are saying that it is a continuous play??? That you can not detect that the track has changed during a situation like I mentioned above??

Yeah, I have the same issue, and I already had my head unit replaced by the dealership for the same issue. I asked if this was normal and, of course, the dealer said that it is. It's frustrating when you're listening to a CD, such as a live concert, where there are no breaks between songs because the deck will insert a break. I also have the problem of the disc starting from the beginning when I turn my truck off and start if back up.

I've had my 05 for just under 2 weeks, and I have the same problem with my 6 disc audiophile.
However, in addition to the pause between continuous tracks, I will also occasionally get a little half-second long snippet of a song that plays during the space between tracks. I mean one song will end, and before the next song begins, I'll hear just a random half-second long bit of another track in between. It happens about 25% of the time, and it'll do it with any CD.
I also have the problem with CDs occasionally starting over after I turn off the truck.

Yup, mine does that too. It also has the same prob as greatjedi has. Mine also occasionaly skips on discs with no flaws when I am standing still or on smooth road, on rough roads it will never skip.

oh yeah, mine also skips for no reason. I'd forgotten about it when I posted earlier, but I can be listening to a brand new CD while driving smoothly down the highway and it'll skip. This is frustrating.

Add me to the list. '05 Audiophile. Inserts pauses in between tracks, and skips for no apparent reason.

Mine as well . Not too impressed with the Audiophile system. I don't even like to change CD's because of the length of time it takes to get the old ones out and the new discs in.
