Just installed my new Xcal and now my truck will not start. I installed the factory program back in and all is fine now.....

question is... i guess when they installed the new engine in my truck they changed the computer code and didnt put the new one under the hood.

Since no my Xcal is vin locked... if I send it back will the new factory computer code be in the Xcal for the tuner to see?? if not how do I go about getting my computer code?

If you uninstalled the tune and went back with factory, then the unit becomes unlocked again. You would have to go to the dealer (Ford) and get them to give you the code I believe.........unless someone on here (Quintin) can scan your vin somehow and get it for you.

 

 

when i had my computer reflashed, doug at bamachips sent me a tuner to read my code, and i sent it back to him. it was a PITA to mail stuff back and forth, but your SCT dealer should be able to help you out with it. im sure exactly how it works and if the XCAL needs to be set up to read your code or what, your best bet is to contact your dealer
