rear leaf spring squeak?

Ok, well as most of you know I have been mudding before but afterwards I spend hours upon hours cleaning. Anyways, the moral of the story is not long after my last trip and extreme wash I noticed my rear suspension was squeaking really bad. just putting pressure on the tailgate makes the leafs squeak to all hell. Has anyone else noticed this?

My rear leafs make a popping sound like something is not tight. The dealer regreased something but it didn't help.

Every so often I hear weird noises coming from my leaf springs too, and my truck hasn't even had a chance to leave the pavement yet.

I kept getting a constant chirping noise coming from my rearend lately so I brought it in hoping it was my gears so I could upgrade to 410's and the guy couldnt hardly hear it first of all when I had to take him out for a drive. Finally he heard it and thought it was the emergency brake lines making noises hiting each other. Nope! Drove out of the driveway then came right back in. Finally talked to another guy and said lets go for a spin. He hears it as we are pulling into the shop and tells one of the other guys hangin around to open the tailgate. Sure enough that was all that it was. Checked it numerous times. Then shut it and shaked it by hand and YEP! That was it. Just adjusted the hinge and was good to go.

Adjusted the hinge in what way? My Compa has that problem as well. He lubed up the hinge and it still squeaks.

I'm having this problem now, first it was the tailgate now the leaf spring.
I'm almost 100% sure it's the bushing. I'm gonna jack up the body and loosen up the back of the leaf spring and shackle and see if i can spray some lube on the bushing.

My leafs make like a poping noise it sounds like my spare tire is loose and slightly swing side to side and hitting but I checked and it is tight also I tries silcone on the bushing and leaf spacer but nothing has helped what else is there?

Ford installs the spring and shackle bushings dry, no grease. Jack it up and drop the spring shackles and lube the bushings and mounts. That should take care of it.

since installing the add-a-leafs, the right leaf will creak. Found which one it was and just spray wd40 between the front of the 2nd and 3rd leaf about every 2 months or so. I also have been spraying the front mounting bushing as well. All quiet for now...

I also noticed that the 06's have one less leaf in the spring pack than the 04 and 05. Our dealer had about 25 F150's on the lot, all models, and they were all the same. All the used 04/05's as well as my 04/05's had one more in the spring pack. Makes me glad I installed the aal.

Mine does this also, I use Deep Creep spary lube made by Sea Foam it costs around $8 for a can. This stuff is very good lube it keeps my leaf spings and front suspension quite for 4 to 6 months. This stuff is like WD-40 on crack. Worth the $$$.

WD40 isn't a lubricant.
