A slight problem in my suspension?

Over about the past two months I have been experiencing this crazy squeak in my front suspension.

It happens in two different scenarios. 1) Driving on any road with a bump in it or a sewer for example. (only when the bump or sewer are very bumpy) 2) If I am in the driveway and decide to put it in reverse it will squeak as I let go of the brake to get out of the driveway.

I was going to take it in today to the service department but decided I would ask opinions first. Is this something that can be fixed in your opinions? Has it ever happened before to anyone? Anyway, let me know.. I appreciate it.

i am 100% positive it is the front because I took it over a speed bump to test it and the front squeaked as I passed over it with the front wheels.

It isn't very bad though.. it is annoying enough to the point where I just want it to stop because I am the only one that pays attention to it and hears it.

I would take it in, its not supposed to squeak and if it was my truck it would drive me nuts. Good luck.

My truck squeeks when I put it in gear coming out of my driveway also. I drive the truck once a week so I figured it was that. But after I drive it if I pull over and start up again there is no more squeek. Im just going to swap out the brake pads soon.

Spiros, do you have any type of leveling kit on your front end? I too have the same problem and i've narrowed it down to the driverside front end. I've tried silicone spray on upper A arm bushings and shock piston. This seems to make it better but i,m not really sure and its back in a day. I'd like to take it to the dealer but i'm afraid they will just blame it on the Daystar. Next step is to replace shocks with Bilstiens and see if that works.

Its your leaf springs, one of my dreaded problems and apparently the leaf spring assembly is on national back-order.

Try some white lithium spray grease. It’s clean and easy to use and it’s designed for all metal-to-metal applications. It sprays on as a liquid, penetrates tiny crevices, and then sets up as a grease & stays put. It’s good stuff

thanks all for your replies...

im going to head over to the dealership right now and i will let you guys know whats up.

i dont have a daystar so there is nothing that they can blame it on. unless it was my exhaust or window tint that caused my suspension to squeak. :O

Found my squeek! The three nuts on the top of my shocks had woorked loose and the Daystar spacer was squeeking. Tightened up and no more squeek. Question is what is to stop them from loosening again? Anyone else have this problem? When tightening they dont get real tight before the whole bolt starts to turn. I didn't do the install so I not sure if there is something wrong.
