Post F150 Crew Cab Floor Console

Can anyone point me in a direction to where I can buy a floor console for my 05 F150 Crew Cab 4 door with 40/20/40 Split bench? I have the space on the floor and more storage is always needed. Thanks in advance.

I have the sterring wheel shifter not the center console so I have a decent sized space to add a useful console on the hump betwen driver and passenger side. I do have the flip down console between the two seats but lookng for something that looks like it is supposed to be there on the floor.

I figured you had the column shift or you wouldnt be asking about a console. However, you can mod a flow through if you search on here you can see what some people have done. If you arent into modding join the club or should I say search for an xlt console.

Or cheat and stuff in a supercrew console.

The 50 buck solution.

Thanks Chris - I modified your picture to show where I am looking for the console. I have the Bench seat so my story is a slight variation.
Thanks,

I wish the pic would come through, as I don't know what you mean.
My truck was/is a bench seat. I just swapped in the Superduty console. I can put back the 20% in about ten minutes if I want to. So far, I don't want to.

Just FYI, there is only one seat configuration sold, it is two buckets. Some have a '20%' seat and then the two buckets are called a bench. Others have the flow through console with the same two buckets. Others have a 'free floating' console that does not go to the dash (the desired XLT console)
In all cases the buckets are the same part. Variants are just power, lumbar, heat, memory, covering, and seat mounted belts. The basic bucket and bench are interchangeable

Nice console Chris

I have seen those on ebay didn't know if they would fit. Can I ask how you secured it? is it even with the armrest?

Well, I cheated. I read in this forum that it fit, so I bought one. It didn't just drop in. The bottom on our truck is very flat, but the airbag module sticks up a little in the center. So first I put several flat pieces of wood on the floor, bolted by the seat bolts. The wood serves three purposes,;
one, it's something for the four screws that hold the console to bite.
Next it raises the console up. This console comes in trucks with armrests, and is about four inches shorter than the fold down 20%. I am too tall to rest my arm on something that short, so I had to raise it.
Third thing, the console slopes down to the front. I put another two inches of spacer under the front so it was level.

This sounds harder than it is. Adds up to two pieces of board under the front, and one under the rear. Very secure since I used boards that were three inches wide, about 10 inches long, and three inches thick. Estimates, I used scrap wood lying around. It's hidden under the console of course.

Next was the fact that if you looked at the truck with its doors open from the ground, you could see an air gap under the console. I bought a yard of 'leather' cloth, 7 bucks.
Looks like the stuff Ford covers the seats with, the non-leather parts.

I put a 'flounce' or bed skirt around the bottom front and sides. The sides didn't matter as that is hidden by the seats. So if you put your head on the truck floor, there is a black leather curtain, or bottom around the console.
It looks good, and keeps dropped stuff from rolling under the front of the console.

Finally, I wanted more padding under my arm, so I removed the top lid (the whole thing comes apart is seconds) and used my non-existent upholstery skills to pad it and wrap it with the leather like cloth.
It is very comfortable, and has tons of cargo space. I prefer it to the stock 20% seat.

Sadly, my wife wants to put the center seat back, as she wants to be able to use the center seat (regular cab). Still, I can swap them back and forth in about fifteen minutes.

Looks like you did a find job to me. Personally I have the xlt shell on the way, figure I have collected enough parts to make it work. Should have an xlt console under $300. Of course this is considerbly more than you spent and yours looks fine to me.

Thanks. Please do post on your console project, as everyone seems very interested in that XLT setup, and I know lots will want to see your results.
Best of luck
Chris

Thanks

Well I ordered the xlt shell and front cupholder from from fordnetworkparts. I have the rear cupholder and lid from buying the lariat console online for $45.00. Now the rear cupholder is silver and the front cupholder is flint. Not a match but who cares? The lid/armrest is black as opposed to flint, but again, who cares? The problem is will they line up and fit? I expect shipment within the next couple days. If it is not a fit, I will return it.

I will post the outcome as a new thread as soon as I get it.
