I have NOT read one thread where someone said they had a problem or "my truck runs like sh@# now with this tuner." I tend to think that with several thousand guinea pigs ahead of me that I made a great choice and my truck runs 500% better than when it was stock. Maybe us "sheep" are onto something huh?
How can he justify charging $225 for a "custom" tune? For $225, I should be able to take my truck to him, and have him create a tune specifically for my truck...not some generic tune for a truck like mine. LAME

actually troyer would probably give you a custom tune. meaning one he has saved on his computer for your truck, copy it to your tuner, charge an exorbitant amount of money, wait a few weeks and send it back

did i just say that?

Did you know the sheepherder, who by the way specializes tuning the F150 platform for 14-years, does extensive R&D on all his tunes prior to selling them to the flock ... baa

many other people have similar if not stronger backgrounds in the tuning field, but i dont want to make this a "my tuner has been a fully trained ford tech for years" "my tuner is ACTUALLY allowed to attend SCT training sessions because he is an exclusive SCT dealer" "my tuner is a hell of a nice guy who has personally met troyer and cant say the same" " my tuner gives the SAME if not better product for much less $ and much sooner" kind of thread

Too each his own freaky, by all means do what you want with your truck. Personally I don't have the time to drive to virginia at $2.80 a gallon from Texas to save 200 bucks. And not to sound snotty or anything cause I'm on a budget also but I can promise you that I will ALWAYS spend a little more on a product for this truck if I believe it is worth it or will feel better about using it. We are talking about $30-35k plus vehicles here...screw another hundred or two! Just my opinion.

so if troyer sold the autospring coil spacers for $400 youd be comfortable buying them from him?

I am starting to get the feeling that Troyer is a sponsor of this site, or something of that nature...

You should pay more attention to what you are buying:
MM-SCT-XCAL2 ALL OBD-II Flash Tuner, Standard Tune With Datalogging $350.00 That is 1 standard program
Total cost with 3 tunes = $400 from Marcy Motorsports

Nope. That really is a silly example. We are talking about an electronic device that controls everything your engine does, not a chunk of aluminum. What I feel comfortable with is his years of experience tuning fuel injected vehicles, something I know nothing about. Would you feel comfortable letting me take out your appendix on the cheap instead of your own doctor? That my friend is the perfect analogy. Take care and good luck with your mods.

Here we go again....

jpdadeo, do you work for Troyer??? What gives....

ANY time somone mentions a vendor other than Troyer, or a product other than what they carry, you get "testy" about it. We've gone over this w/the Xcal2, the Volant....geeeesh.

C'mon & give us a break here. SoundPer4mance is just mentioning another vendor that he is happy with that gave him a great product at a great price w/great service.
