Airaid MIT?

Hey guys, now that I have 20s I need some more power, and I need to find something for my girlfriend to get me for my birthday! Those of you who have the Airaid MIT, is this purchase worth it and does it give pretty decent gains for the price? Thanks.

Hey Dave,

How about updating your gallery with some pics of your upgrades. I'm interested in seeing those 20's and that 3" exhaust.

I'm not sure, but I think the MIT still works with the panel filter, is that right?

If so, I'm not sure if it's worth it...probably go with the whole intake kit. I did, and like the results.

I was looking at the MIT also. Can't beat it for 93 bucks. I would add a high flow filter also. I beleive the airraid jr is the same setup as a package.

I have a hard time beleiving that a regular airraid can be THAT much better, at least not in a way I'll be able to feel in everyday driving (...puts on Nomex suit, prepares for flames). I guess we just needa guinnea pig...

Airraid = High flow filter and big fat tube for $250
Airraid Jr = High flow filter and big fat tube for $125

PLus, having a huge open filter element not only makes me nervous, but also looks out of place, in my opinion. I prefer to stay low-profile.

Tachophile, high quality pics should be up by tonight! You can sort of see the truck in stock form and the exhaust right now in my gallery. Those pictures were taken with a $25 digital camera. I guess it was 25 bucks for a reason.

I'm also thinking of fabbing up a CAI like this gentleman did for his 4.6L:

If you remove the "inner flow path" (silencer) in the stock intake it makes the MIT a waste of money.

How would I go about doing that, and how much of a difference does it make?
