fabtech and tire ?

i was just wondering if a 6" fabtech with the dirtlogic coilovers could be 6-8 1/2" lift? do the dirtlogics lift it another 2 1/2" after the 6" i dont really understand the adjustable part to it.

2nd question is why the hell do tires for a 18" wheel cost so much more than a 17" wheel do they not use less rubber for the same size tire if they are taking a 1/2" off the sidewall radius?

Yep the dirt logics can be adjusted to give you even more lift...

And 18"s cost more because they are a "Speciality tire".. Yea i know tell me about it.. it sucks... 17" is a standard rim size these days.... thats why there cheaper i believe.

So has anyone cleared 36s or 37s with the Fabtech, Dirt Logics cranked and a add-a-leaf?

if it does lift it even more then 37"s should clear. im just looking into this cause i might not always want 37"s. and with it being adjustable it wont matter i can just crank it down and put 35"s back on it

yes, I have the dirt logic coil overs and you could fit 37's easily if you cranked the coils, but remember that the ride will be diminished and you still would have to trim a tiny bit off the front air dam and fender flare close to the door, they are both plastic so it is easy, I was told by Fabtech it wouldn't clear, so I bought 35's, when I took it to 4 wheel parts when I got the lift installed they also told me that it would not clear 37's but when I got it back, the installer told me that it would clear them easily and it may be possible to fit 38's. Hope this helps
