Weekend Mod-bonanza! Bilstiens, Hawk HPS pads, KC Lights & Magnaflow! 56k beware

The Tan Terror just got a little more terrifying this weekend... Got one thing left, the AF1 is scheduled to arrive Tuesday. Hopefully my G-timer data cable shows up first so I can download the stock times (well, stock +tune) and make some runs with the Magnaflow, then muffer + CAI...

Sometime during the week or next weekend I'll give a full review of the Hawk pads and snap some pics of the dust it generates. Stopping power thus far is awesome, definitely more bite than the stock pads!

I'll do the same with the Bilstiens... but I'm a little biased since my front stockers were totally SHOT. 26K and they were toast, one not have any charge left whatsoever. Obviously the Bilstiens are a HUGE improvement, and I feel that I have my plush ride back like the day I rolled it off the lot. No nastly hop around some corners with bumps thus far.

Some pics:

Nice, mods! All your missing is the FX4 stickers and you'd be set

About time you steped up and got an exhaust.

Looks good and I know it sounds better.

It looks great, but the sound is going to take some getting use to. It's mean sounding, with a great sound at WOT, but could be a little too noisey just running around town... and I can hear it in the cab once you get around 70mph+. I'm used to the whisper quiet cab so this is a change. I think it's nothing some dynamat on the back wall and floorboard can't fix. As for performance, it feels a little peppier, but nothing dramatic. I'll try to get some numbers tommorrow.

Nice D, I think the Bilsteins will be my next mod. I really do want the exhaust but I'm like you, I love the quiet cab especially on my 60 mile day commute. Hmmm what to do...

looks good. the sound will grow on you. I can't even hear the exhaust if my radio is on. I asked my neighbor if it woke him up when I started it every morning at 5:30 and he said he didn't even here it. so I think it is plenty quiet enough. it is only like 10 percent louder than your oem muffler. if you think it is loud wait till you put on the airforce one I think it is louder in the 2 to 3k rpm range. it isn't so bad on the highway. I am not sure if it is louder than the magnaflow on the highway becous the few times I have had it on the highway I have had the radio on and can't hear either one. I don't blast the radio either. hope you like the airforce one. it has taken me a while to get used to. the magnaflow didn't bother me at all. I felt more power gain from the airforce one than I did from the magnaflow. it will be interesting to see if you feel the same. give us a review on those shocks though. I would be interested to see how they feel. I am sure they handle great and handle the bige bumps real well. but I would be interested to see how well you feel the tiney bumps like cracks in the pavement ect. keep us updated.

Looks good, I really like the bilstein shocks. I might have to get some for myself once I have some more money.

I really look forward to reading your review of the AF1 intake. Especially with all of the threads here lately.

Those are nice mods I guess, but I still like the 77 Datsun better.

How much for the Hawk pads? and let us know if they produce dust. (just to compare vs. the Porterfields the rest of us have been getting)

How hard were the front shocks to install, that is if you did them?
