If you do a search, you can see many opinions as this topic runs on the board every 2 months minimum.

I took mine off, and then changed to an XLT Grille. Anybody that knows these trucks will still see the signature marks that you have an FX4 like the painted bumpers and black flares.

I wouldn't worry a bit what others think bro. It's your truck. Do what you want. To those who aren't secure enough to do something like that to their truck, you'll be a inspiration. Blah blah blah.

Before

After

XLT Grille

I'd keep them on if you keep the stock tail lights, since they're both red.

In my case, I smoked out my tails and there was no more red on my truck, so I removed the FX4 stickers for a cleaner look. I had my truck for over a year and the stickers came off fine. One left some residue, but that came off with some bug and tar removar.

Except for the 18,458 black FX4s.

But then again not one of those black FX4s came without the FX4 sticker on it. SO that would mean taking it off would actually make it different than all the other ones sold. Hmmmm....

BTW I just made up the 18,458 figure....but you get the point.

I like it without them!!! I want to get the XLT Grill and put in a black carrige works billet grill.... I also want to get rid of the FX4 flares in favor of some painted black lariat ones... Then no one will know i have an FX4... except for me i guess... oh well. I think the resulting "all black" look will be very nice!

I killed the 4x4 on my BORING lariat. I think the FX4 looks good, and adds to the sporty look. I don't think stickers fit my truck though...

unless you plan on getting a bolt-over grille (over the XLT grille?), you can just save some money and buy a complete replacement style grille and take out your FX4 grille. Replacement grilles look much cleaner than the bolt-over grilles as well...IMO

Thanks for the tip... I was under the impression that I would have to change to the XLT Grill and then get the bolt over black billet... But, if i can get a full replacement and it will look better Ill definately do that!! Thanks for the Tip.

^no problem. See my gallery. I have an FX4 in which I removed the middle Bar grille and installed a Carriage works replacement black billet grille.

Day 2 of having removed my FX4 stickers. No sticker removal remorse here!
