Question about K&N air filter
Green filter
When I first bought the truck, I went with a 'Green' HP filter. It has the felt on the frame like the factory one. Same price as the k&n. The local performance truck shop had some gimick wind machine display, kinda looked like a lottery machine, where a ping pong ball looking thing would rise to the top of the tube when you turned the fan on, when you slide a standard paper filter in, the ball would drop to bottom, slide the k&n filter in, the ball would drop 1/2 way to bottom, drop the Green filter in and it stayed at top of tube. Probably an advertisement for Green,
showing they have the least restrictive filter media, but I bought it vs. the k&n....
Looking at cold air intakes now to go with the recent installed Borla Catbacks, I like the Volant, just cannot find any performance data on it yet. IMO, it just looks like it belongs on the 5.4. Not too sure of a running too lean problem as well. AF1 has way too many issues posted here, but appears to have some solid dyno data available to justify the purchase and is supposed to not cause this lean condition. Can't make up my mind yet!
