Goodyear Gatorback Belt

Hey guys, Well after the tuner, Intake and exaust, I am getting the common belt squeel when the tranny shifts under hard acceleration, I read on Troyers web site that the replacing the factory belt with the gator back will solve this problem, My question is does anyone know what length and number of ribs that is on the 2005 5.4. I think it is 102 inch and 6 ribs But I want to confirm this.
Thanks

Thanks for the response. I will be getting one as soon as I get in from offshore. I found the belt at Auto Zone for $23.49. Way cheaper than anywhere else.

I figured I would go ahead and get one, I will keep the factory belt in the tool box for a spare. And for the price of the Gatorback it's kind of hard to beat. I was kinda worried about what it was when I did my first pedal to the metal run with the superchip installed, I can't believe how much better my truck runs now with the intake, Exaust and Superchip 1745 installed. I said that was going to be it, But I find myself looking at underdrive pullies and e fans now. I guess it's hard to be satisfied. You allways want more.

There is one thing I have wondered though.....how much different than stock does this belt LOOK? If one were to install this belt and take it in for warranty related repairs, even with the tune removed, an experienced tech may see this belt and know it is there because you had tuned the truck......I mean what other reason would you have to replace your belt with a better holding one with the truck still under warranty? Just a thought.....maybe I am too paranoid

Yes you are, maybe you have a strong relationship with goodyear and you need to have their product on your truck, and motocraft belts have failed you in the past and you dont want that to happen. It's not Gator*for custom tune*back, its just a belt...

Question

Just installed the gatorback (have the Troyer tuner) and I think I hear the slightest belt whine. Kinda sounds like a really quiet supercharger! Anyone else experience this slight increase in noise? Can only hear it above idle and really quiet area.
Thanks, Steve

LOL, well maybe I am too paranoid. I know that the E-fans would be very easy to spot but I'm not worried about that, I don't think that would matter. Our local dealer doesn't care about bolt on stuff, intakes, exhaust. They even told me that when I bought it.....but they don't like tuners and I thought this may be a tip to the fact that I had one. And Asinatra, I like that new sig, that little picture collage is pretty cool!

The size of the factory serpentine belt on a 2005 F-150 5.4 is 103.25" I just called two different dealership's parts department, as I am looking to do this upgrade myself. Just wanted to pass that along..

The 102" belt fits fine......Stay away from the dealerships you called.
