No not Asheboro ford i've delt with them before i took it back to ceiner woods were i bought it, they have been good to me so far. yes the car was way over the line, as soon as i seen him come around the curve he was on the line then, the rest is kind of like slow motion i can still see it all play out in my head. It just sucks to think about all the time i spend cleaning and waxing both of them, parking on the other side of parking lots so nobody walks around it just to have someone run down the side of it. Just makes me kind of sick, i know he didn't set out to run into me but it still sucks.

That is a very mature thing to say, I only wish that most people would think like you. Very adult way to think, you're upset but still understand it was an accident, most people behave towards a situation of the like as if it was done to them on purpose, and "someone was out to get them." Kudo's to you bud.

When I wrecked, the guy I hit and I were outside looking at the wreck, my gf was being tended to by the paramedics, and was bleeding from her head, he said, "Man, look what you did to my f'in boat...man..." I did not say anything in return, but it sure didn't help, was very inconsiderate if you ask me.

The world needs more people like you bud (I hit someone with a very similar boat and it was being towed by a newer chevy/gmc, maybe an 03), must be something about them bass boats that attracts distracted drivers :o

Most those bass boats are in excess of $40k, the motor alone is usually $10k. You can't blame a guy for being pissed off, most trips are planned and his weekend/time off may have been ruined because of your actions. But it just teaches you to pay attention so you wont have to deal with those people again.

I don't care how much it was worth, I told him I had insurance (very good insurance at that), accidents happen, period. He had a right to be upset, but should have been more considerate. Again, there should be more people who think the way offroad does.

I was told yesterday from a friend that the value of my truck will automatically go down now that it has been wrecked and that his insurance has to cut me a check for the difference. I have never heard anything like that before does anyone know if this is true or not. thanks

there was a thread a month or so ago about the insurance part of this. I think you have to pretty much haggle with the agency in order to get it and for how much. If i remember correctly it was a couple thousand dollars so its definitly worth it to look into it.

I know several people that claim they have gotten paid for the added hit you will take if you ever decide to sell. I had a car that was hit. When I went to trade it they tore me up because of the wreck. Check into it with a lawyer to see what you can get for the depreciation value. Hope every thing comes out OK. I have a rebuilt 04 scab and love it but, didn't buy it new so the little things caused by the wreck are no big deal. If it were new I think I would try to make them replace it with a new truck.

Just put pics of my "wrecked" truck in my gallery. The fella I purchased it from said it took a nasty hit to the front right. Hood, bumper, fender, radiator, and bumper cover were repalced. For what I paid for I am happy with the truck, but like I said earlier I paid for a rebuilt wreck not a new truck. Hope they take care of the truck and you are happy with when it comes back. https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=6404

P.S. If you live in a state that will brand the title with this wreck it will void any warranty on the truck.
